This week has been Doctor visits and physicals for Sylvia. Friday she had a MRI to look at the section of her back that has been giving her pain. She will have a follow-up with the Doctor to discuss a remedy.

Saturday we drove to Kyle's place to have the front crankshaft seal replaced. The job was kind of straight line and things went back together well. While we were there we also washed clothes, and dismantled the lawnmower engine. The key for crankshaft to flywheel was sheered. Saturday afternoon, we will have to get the parts Monday.

We returned home to discover that the new seal is still leaking! Kyle will order a seal from Ford on Monday. We suspect the wrong seal was installed. This time it will come apart easier.

Friday 5-22-09

Friday morning and we have to visit Wal Mart for supplies for the long weekend. We also have to pick up a water tank that goes on the fender of the Ford Taurus. The present tank is cracked and leaks water. I called Napa, their price was $75.00, I called Auto Zone and they have the tank for $28.00. Today we pick up the tank from Auto Zone, along with antifreze.

We called Directv and they set up a dish on a pole for us. The "King Dome" is behind trees and can't see the satalite. Every time we call Directv they seem to send out the new hires, most of whom have never worked on a RV or motor home. 5 hours later the deed is done and we have satalite TV. The dish is a slimline mounted on a pole set in the ground. When we leave we will take the dish and will have to get a tripod when we need the dish again.

That's it for now. We will post pictures next time.

Tuesday morning, after the sonogram, we departed "Davis Lakes Campground". The route north was via "US13", "The Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel", and North through "Delmarva". The trip to "Lums Pond State Park"in DE was 300 miles and the local traffic on US13 made this a long trip. We arrived in the park at 6 pm. The only electric site was unsuitable so we boondocked. The fee was still 22 dollars, but safer than the roadside rest areas.

Wednesday, after breakfast and showers, we headed North via Deleware Memorial Bridge and NJ Turnpike. We traveled I-287 West and North to the NY Thruway to I-84 to us 32 to the campground.
We arrived about 5 pm. Traffic was heavy near Hartford, Ct., but it allways is.
We expect to be here one month.
