Swannanoa, NC

Today we traveled to Swannanoa, NC..About 10 miles East of Asheville, NC. There are no pictures today as the weather rained all day. Glenn hooked up the car in the rain, just a drizzle, but the rain did not stop.
We are now camped in Swannanoa, NC in Miles RV Campground.  Glenn will stay 2 days to rest and hope the rain goes away.

Cathedral Caverns, AL

Today we met with Glenn's family and drove to Cathedral Caverns, Al. At the entrance.

The tour was over one mile long.

Piney Grove and Tishomingo state Park

This morning, maybe after noon, we stopped at "Subway" for a sandwich and drove into the Big Springs Lake for a picnic.
The dam for the lake.  This was constructed in the 1930 by the "CCC"'s.

Red Bay, AL

We are in Red Bay, Tiffin Repair Center, to have a broken jack and other items replaced/repaired.
Today, Tuesday, The mechanic knocked on the door at 8:30 and said " Bring the Coach to Bay 39, now". Well the jack has been replaced.  The wait is now just replacing the hall Mirror, and the black tank wash down.
Weather was cool and rain today. Tonight the rain has stopped and the temperature has warmed.

Lubbock to Red Bay

3 days and over 900 miles. Lots of driving but the weather was good. We left Lubbock Saturday Morning headed South East to travel RT I-20 East.  Lots of plains.

Aniyah Jordan Ortiz

Wednesday 3-02-2011 Our Great Grand Daughter Aniyah Jordan Ortiz was born at 5:57 pm central standard time in Lubbock, Texas. Chelsie is doing well.  Aniyah was placed in the Oxygen tent and NICS because of breathing difficulty.  Today Thursday pm the Oxygen tent has been removed. Chelsie is expected to come home Friday.  Aniyah will stay for one week to check for possible problems.

Sunday was a windy day.  The wind average was 35 mph but gusts up to 55 mph. This si farm country and means that you can see the wind.
