Lunch in Prescott

This morning we decided to drive to Prescott, AZ to check the roadway and grades as Glenn intends to drive the Motor home this route going to Sedona, AZ. The garage door in Congress.

The road signs state that no trucks longer than 40 feet. The road is very windy.

From Drop Box
The elevation changes from 2000 feet to 6100 feet.

The drive with the Motor Home will be interesting to say the least.

We stopped at the overlook. This is a Dairy Farm.

Temperatures were in the 60's here in Congress and 50's in Prescott.  We are going to Sedona this weekend. The temperatures are expected to be in the mid 70's.
Our Grand Daughter, Chelsey,is having some difficulty with the pregnancy. The doctors expect to start labor March 2.  That means that Sylvia and I will leave Arizona the last week of Feb.

We and another of our RVing friends took that road a few years ago and although some of the corners are a little tight made it with no incidents. I wouldn't recommend the road from Prescott through Jerome to Sedona though for a motorhome, I seem to remember there were a couple of really tight switchbacks in downtown Jerome that could be problematic. Safe Travels!

Thanks John: The travel information in Prescott said the same about the Motorhome and the road to Jerome. Enjoy your new "Southern Home".
Hugs to you and Brinda

Travel safe.
