Fort Verde, AZ

From Drop Box
Our trip today!!! The fort was in use 20 years.  The purpose was to protect the settelers. There were no fort walls, and the fort was not attach by the indians.  The farmers were easier targets.
This memorial is at the museum.

The Indians were assigned to this Reservation for as long as the grass grows and the wind blows. Two years later Gold was discovered on the reservation.  All Indians were moved to a new reservation 1/10 th the size.
