This is our "Guard Dog" in the morning. She can sleep day and night!
Montezuma Pass is in the Coronado National Memorial Park. In 1540 Francisco Coronado was sent to find the 7 City's of Gold. The mission was a failure but the South Western area was then known to the world.
The views from the top of the pass.
The Boarder Patrol, always here.
The map on top, showing how close the Border is.
The view looking Northeast. The view Coronado would have seen. Minus the roads of course.
The road down. Note the two Boarder Patrol Trucks in the road.
This truck has a rotating screen on top.
Back on paved road, heading home.
The roadside Mission.
A beautiful day in the "Coronado National Memorial".

To walk in Montezuma's footsteps and see his views had to be breathtaking! I love that cross.
