Fort Stevens, Oregon

Wednesday so this must be Oregon. We left Kelso and drove to Astoria, Or and Ft Stevens State Park. Today we explored the park and coast. The wreck of the "Peter Iredale".

The Fort was in use until 1944. The Air Force and Airplanes made the shore battery's obsolete.

Cannon Beach is 20 miles south. This is the Oregon beaches I think of.

There are Seals on the rocks. Note the large hole in the rock.
