2012 Babbling Brook Bluegrass Festival, Westville, NY

Friday morning, June 8, There is exitement here in the campground. Many campers arrived yesterday and a steady stream seem to be coming in.The bands have arrived and the setup begins.
1 pm, the "Jesse Alexander Band" is on stage.

They play for 1 hour.
2pm, the band "Plexigrass"

3pm,  "Dave Nickols &; Spare Change".

4 pm, "Remington Ryde"

5 pm is dinner break. We were in the camper at 6 pm when the thunderstorm rolled in with 50mile per hour winds. two of the temporary sun shelters blew down. No one was injured. The speakers and sound system was soaked. The system was dismanteled and placed inside to dry out. The remainder of the evening was performed without a sound system.
These same four bands performed 1 hour each till 10 pm.
Saturday morning the sound system was tested and found to be functional.

The lady is "Lisa Atkinson"  on loan from the next band pereforming.
2pm, The Atkinson Family"

3 pm, "Dave Nickols & Spare Change"
4 pm "Spinney Brothers"

5 pm dinner time.  No weather surprises today.
6 pm The same bands in the same order. The music is fresh and the singers great.
the show ended at 10 pm. Some of the croud on Saturday.

Saturday evening two of the bands were cutting-up between setups. They were great fun.

Sunday morning at 10am, "The 613 Band"..

11 am "The Atkinson Family" played for an hour of Gospel and bluegrass..
12 noon "Dave Nickols & Spare Change" closed out the Festival.

What a great concert that must have been. I love to listen to music and that would have been fun to go to.

Wow...a bluegrass festival! I used to set up as a vendor at these and have sort of forgotten about them since becoming an RVer. This sounds like a great way to unwind for a weekend and am certainly going to add this to my list of things to look out for. Is there a particular website you use to find them?
