April 14, we are up at 4:30am....Why?? We are going with our Son Scott and his Wife Jamie to attend the "Cherry Blossums" in Washington. DC. We drove to the "Metro" and rode the train into the city.
The train station is on the "Mall" and the Monument is close by. The parade is on "Constitution Ave".
We saw many of these bands and dancers when we were in Japan in 2006. Pretty southern dresses, and Girls.
Many ballons.
Police on horses.
Good lookin old car. A model "A"
The Navy band. All branches had a band in the parade. Glenn chose the Navy Band.
The parade route was 5 miles long. Ride these a while.
Knights??
This thing stepped alone real well.
The gymnist put on a show right in front of us.
Show Off!!
Drummers!
Marie Osmond.
The view as we crossed the Mall.
The view on "Penns' Ave"
They looked pretty.
We survived the Washington experiance and rode the train back to the car and home. Thank You Scott and Jamie for a wondertful time in DC on a special Day.

What a cool parade! I would love to go to Washington. We lived not too far from there but never got to go.
Thanks for the pictures.
