Cherry Blossums

April 14, we are up at 4:30am....Why?? We are going with our Son Scott and his Wife Jamie to attend the "Cherry Blossums" in Washington. DC. We drove to the "Metro" and rode the train into the city.

The train station is on the "Mall" and the Monument is close by. The parade is on "Constitution Ave".

We saw many of these bands and dancers when we were in Japan in 2006. Pretty southern dresses, and Girls.

The Navy band.  All branches had a band in the parade. Glenn chose the Navy Band.

We survived the Washington experiance and rode the train back to the car and home.  Thank You Scott and Jamie for a wondertful time in DC on a special Day.

What a cool parade! I would love to go to Washington. We lived not too far from there but never got to go.
