Mission, TX

Feb 2 we departed Mustang Island and headed Southwest to Mission, Tx. Mission is in the lower Rio Grand Valley. We are camped in "Oleander Acres" RV Park, Mission.
Mark and Dortha Hall stopped by and we went out to diner. We had a great time and conversation. Friday Morning Mark stopped by, picked up Glenn and met with a man's group for breakfast. Thank you Mark for a great time.

Sunday the weather turned cool, temps in the 60's. We drove around the area looking at the sites. We found Capilla De La Lomita. A mission from 1861.

We are getting better acquainted with our surroundings,We can locate the grocery store and post office without the GPS. All we need now is for the warm 80 deg. weather to return.

Sherri and I love that part of the country and have enjoyed many trips to that area. We have never seen that mission however but maybe next time. We have not gone to see Mark and Dortha since they have moved down there but we sure hope we will get that chance next year. Tell them we said hello if you see them again
