Thursday morning we had Breakfast in the Club House in Saguaro SKP Park. The food and friendship were awesome. After walking the dogs and other routine things, we headed to Willcox, AZ. While on the road we decided to stop at the "Cochise Stronghold".
This is a rough terrain, easily defended with many escape routes.
Cochise was born in this area.
A great place to defend.
Glenn near a possible campsite.
Good picture of Sylvia by the rock.
The Doe was watching us leave her area.
Newer homes in the Stronghold area.
This truck passed us. Think they pump out septic tanks.
Cochise Cemetery. An old grave yard near the town of Cochise.
The windmill for water in the grave yard.
We drove to Willcox to see the "Rex Allen" Museum. The horse "KOKO" is buried here.
The park is close to the rail road.
Rex Allen.
Costumes worn in movies.
Next door is the "Friends of Marty Robbins" museum.
We had luner in Willcox, then returned home ahead of the winter storm. Wind and a little rain.
Till later!

Thanks for the tour through the stronghold. It brought back memories of our visit a few years ago. It is great to be able to visit places where history was made.
