We pulled out from Tanner, AL, headed West.

We crossed the Mississippi River into West Memphis, AK and into "Tom Sawyer RV Park". The Site was close to the river.

The view out the windshield is the river and barges. This barge was parked when we arrived.

Sylvia took about 30 pictures of barges as they were passing our section of the river. The campground is located on a bend of the river.  Some barges are ganged so wide they need the entire river to make the turn of the bend.

Monday we headed North to Missouri and are camped in "Wappapello Lake". This is a Corps of Engineers Campground.  The sites are full hookups at 50 amps. and the price is 10 dollars a night.  Think we will stay here a few nights.

Tom Sawyer RV Park West Memphis, AR

Saturday we headed West toward Arkansas

Huntsville, AL

We traveled to Red Bay, AL to have the broken jack replaced and other minor repairs.  The service here is slow but good. With the repairs completed we are now in Tanner, AL at Swan Creek RV Park.  This is about 10 miles from our oldest Son, Glenn Jr.
Glenn Jr and his Wife Lana both work and our Granddaughter, Amanda is in School.  We get to spend lots of time with them on the weekends and sometimes in the evenings.

Visit with Al and Betty

Sylvia, Glenn, Kyle, Kari, Alex, and Lyssa visited Al and Betty at the Lake.  We had good weather in spite of the forcast. Al, loaded us all in the boat for a tour of the lake.

We had a cookout but ate inside as the rains had arrived.
We had a great visit.

Home in Monson, MA

 Been a while and no blog!  What's up? We arrived in Sunsetview Farms Campground July 8.  Our Son Jon and the Grand daughters Liticia and Lyssa, stopped in to visit. Sylvia had a cake for everyone. The occasion is Jon's birthday. We had a visit and celebration.
After getting settled in, the planning and arrangements for the Wedding were our next priority. Kyle, our youngest child, is getting to Kari Nepus. The Wedding is July 21, 2012. With lots to do and little time, we are busy. The Wedding went off as planned.  The ceremony and setting were Great.
The pictures of the Wedding that Sylvia took are posted in another blog. Jon and his children,our Grandchildren, were in the wedding party.  A nice touch.
The next event in New England is the 5th birthday of our Grandson Alex. The birthday party is on Aug 11,  and we expect to depart on Aug 12. We are headed for Alabama then Sadalia, MO.
That brings us up to date.  Till later.

The Wedding was July 21, 2012 in Chicopee, MA. The wedding was a pretty awesome affair.
Alexandra, Kyle & Kari's Son, was the Ring Bearer. Evalese Aponte, Kyle's Goddaughter, was the Flower Girl. Jorge Aponte was the Best-man.  Sara Nepus was Bridesmaid.

2012 Babbling Brook Bluegrass Festival, Westville, NY

Friday morning, June 8, There is exitement here in the campground. Many campers arrived yesterday and a steady stream seem to be coming in.The bands have arrived and the setup begins.
1 pm, the "Jesse Alexander Band" is on stage.

2pm, the band "Plexigrass"

5 pm is dinner break. We were in the camper at 6 pm when the thunderstorm rolled in with 50mile per hour winds. two of the temporary sun shelters blew down. No one was injured. The speakers and sound system was soaked. The system was dismanteled and placed inside to dry out. The remainder of the evening was performed without a sound system.
These same four bands performed 1 hour each till 10 pm.
Saturday morning the sound system was tested and found to be functional.

5 pm dinner time.  No weather surprises today.
6 pm The same bands in the same order. The music is fresh and the singers great.

Saturday evening two of the bands were cutting-up between setups. They were great fun.

11 am "The Atkinson Family" played for an hour of Gospel and bluegrass..
12 noon "Dave Nickols & Spare Change" closed out the Festival.
